Kensington Market is a an open bohemian neighbourhood in central west Toronto that has a lot of artists, tourists, and independant shops that you might not find anywhere else in the GTA (Greater Toronto Area). Not quite as artsy as the Queen West area, it is also filled with student (The University of Toronto have campuses nearby and Ryerson University is not far) and many families with children in Victorian style homes.

Kensington is a street photographer’s delight and I will get back here in the spring to take advantage of the bright & diverse colours and many eclectic store fronts for sure.

While walking along I met Dozer, and I must admit I  have a love of Bulldogs, so I quickly dropped to a knee and took a shot of him. I didn’t even have time to set focus. Super friendly, he was on me in a split second, blowing through the preset zone focusing plan I had in mind. But the image was still usable!

His owner was a great guy who got him to sit for me and I have to say meeting Dozer was the highlight of my time walking around Kensington market shooting street photography.
