Walking the streets in the rain for street photography offers one of the best opportunities for interesting shots. It may not be the most comfortable, but it may be one of the most rewarding street photography outings that you undertake.
Having a weather sealed or weather resistant camera such as a small Fuji X-Pro 2, or many of the higher end Fuji’s, and most pro cameras from Nikon, Canon, and Sony can go a long way to ensure a happy ending. Make sure the lens you choose is also weather resistant as well.
Capturing the city in the rain, especially at night, offers reflections and a sheen that is not possibly otherwise.
Not everyone who enjoys walking in the rain, so your subjects you photograph on your city streets may be a little different that n those out and about on a sunny day.
