On a Sunny Day, Get Down to Yonge Steet With Your Camera!

Yonge Street in the Sun is a terrific street to shoot street photography on. There are tens of thousands of people day or night, unlimited buildings and restaurants. There are lots of huge windows to peer into, and every type of person the city has to offer walking upon it. Because the street runs north-south; it gets the benefits of dramatic shadows appearing on one side of the street or another depending on sunrise or sunset. At about 1,896 kilometers long (1,178 miles) you’re not going to run out of space anytime soon as well.

Art in The City

The young Artist and her paintings was inspiring. I hope she finds the people that are like-minded to her and understand her work! If you are ever in Toronto you really should visit the Royal Ontario Museum. It is the second largest museum in North America and perhaps also the ugliest outside with its new facade added on a decade ago. The inside is beautiful. However, you must have the perseverance to enter past the exterior first.

For Street Photography in Toronto, Yonge Street is a Must

My favourite image taken this day is the woman in Starbucks. The sun shone through the window as if a glamour spotlight was trained on her  as she stylishly worked away on her laptop. It turned out to also be a shadow self-portrait as I snapped this image from the waist while walking by, camera strap flapping in the breeze. Capture the moment!
